Being a recreational athlete for over 50 years (I’m 63), I was a little cautious about what risks would exist throughout 3 days of ocean diving (it’s a 4 day course), but Ted engineers every risk down to a very manageable level, making each student more comfortable, relaxed, and ready for challenge. If you are interested in diving safer and increasing your bottom time I highly recommend enrolling in Ted Harty’s Immersion Freediving Intermediate Class. I should have taken this class years ago, as it provided hard examples of the consequences of unsupervised freediving – which can be lethal. At Immersion Freediving, you are forced to learn the right techniques to become a better and safer free diver. In only 4 days, I reached personal bests both in the pool (static apnea) and in the ocean (maximum depth), and it never felt hard. I could do all of my dives (80FT+) in a very comfortable and relaxed state of mind. Ted has proven competitive free diving skills, is a natural teacher, and genuinely cares about the development of his students.
